Dowdy Park Winter Markets 2026

Winter Markets Are Back!

Join us at our Dowdy Park Winter Markets, held under the park's pavilion from 9 am – 12 pm on the following Saturdays:

  • February 14

Shop for local, seasonal goods and cozy winter treats from your favorite local vendors. Unlike our larger markets, these markets are small gatherings with food vendors only.

We can’t wait to see you at the market!

What should you do with that stack of magazines on your coffee table? Put them in your curbside recycling bin!

What should you do with that stack of magazines on your table? Recycle them!

A common misconception is that magazines can not be recycled due to their glossy pages. Our recycling vendor, TFC Recycling, accepts this type of glossy paper at their facility and they are happy to help you declutter while saving trees in the process.

If you have extra recycling needs, feel free to use the recycling containers at Nags Head's town hall, which are available 24/7/365. We also have containers at our Public Services facility at 2203 Lark Avenue in the north end of town. They are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 9 am - 3:30 pm.

Curbside recycling makes it easy for Nags Head property owners to reduce landfill waste and protect the local coastal environment, without extra trips to the recycling centers. Be sure to subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is $13.35/month.

View a reference guide on what can and cannot go into our recycling containers.

Thanks for recycling!
