Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to disadvantaged children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by the Marines offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime. It is such experiences that help children become responsible citizens and caring members of their community. Help make a difference by making a donation. A collection box is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm in the first floor lobby at our town hall at 5401 South Croatan Highway. We'll be accepting donations through December 18. Thank you!

You'll find many different types of plastic bottles around your home. You’ve perhaps wondered if detergent bottles like this one is recyclable. Answer: Yes! Number 1 and 2 plastic bottles are accepted, as long as they are properly rinsed. You can leave the cap on this kind, but no pumps, please. Thank you for recycling right! If you don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and our public services facility (2200 Lark Avenue), subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is only $10.33/month thanks to a $5/month subsidy from the Town.
