Notes

  • The Bulk/Brush Drop-off Yard is closed until April 2024 due to construction in that area. Curbside Bulk/Brush collection is available until April 30, 2024.
  • If needed, there will be additional dumpsters for trash at Town Hall.

All Town administrative offices will be closed Monday, December 25 through Wednesday, December 27 and Monday, January 1.

Bulk Item/Brush Collection yard will be closed until April.

Starting Saturday, December 9, 2023, our bulk item/brush collection yard will temporarily close as we finish construction on our new Public Services Administration building.

We aim to resume yard operations before the conclusion of our curbside bulk/brush collection service at the end of April. Your understanding and cooperation during this period are greatly appreciated.

Curbside collection of bulk items and brush will be available through April 30, 2024.

News from Nags Head Woods Preserve

If you are going to be enjoying oysters this season, please be sure to recycle your shells by dropping them off either at the Nags Head Wood Preserve or Jockey's Ridge State Park. The shells are redeposited in the water so they can build or restore our oyster reefs. Thank you!

Cardboard to recycle this holiday season.

You wouldn't believe some of the crazy items that get tossed into recycling bins.

Toys are nonrecyclable items that come through recycling often. If you have gently used toys, please consider donating them first. If they're not in good condition, make sure they're going into your trash instead of curbside recycling.

Thank you for choosing to recycle your cardboard this holiday season!

If you don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and our public services facility (2200 Lark Avenue), subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is only $10.33/month thanks to a $5/month subsidy from the Town.
