Call for volunteers for Nags Head's Septic Health Advisory Committee.

Our 2022 Decentralized Wastewater Management Plan was adopted in April 2022. Recommendations from the plan are now being implemented and will continue to be implemented over several years. The charge of the newly formed Septic Health Advisory Committee will be to provide guidance on the implementation of the Decentralized Wastewater Treatment Plan recommendations, as well as discuss the ongoing Todd D. Krafft Septic Health Initiative Program successes and challenges.

The committee will meet quarterly throughout the year (January, April, July, and October), with the first meeting scheduled for January 2023.

Submit an application if you are interested and are a Nags Head property owner and/or resident.

Remote meetings will be available upon request.

Are cartons recyclable? Yes!

We know you'll be using food cartons in the new year and might be wondering... can cartons be recycled?

Cartons are available in two types - shelf-stable and refrigerated. Both types of cartons can be recycled in Nags Head! Be sure to place them in your curbside recycle bin.

If you don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and our public services facility (2200 Lark Avenue), subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is only $9.60/month thanks to a $5/month subsidy from the Town.
