Photo of tall weather station at Jockey's Ridge State Park.

We've worked with the folks at Jockey's Ridge State Park and the NC State Climate Office to install a weather station at the best state park in the North Carolina! Check out the real-time weather conditions at the park.

Join us at the new station on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2 pm as we cut the ribbon on this really important tool.

Additional Nags Head weather stations can be found here. (We're working on adding the JRSP station to our web site now.)

Jennette's Pier also has information on ocean conditions.

Photo of open and empty, but stained, pizza box and recycling logo.

Did you know that a single pizza box can contaminate an entire curbside bin of recyclables?

Grease and oils bind to the cardboard preventing it from being recycled. To help keep contaminated items from being mixed with correct items, please place your pizza boxes in your waste bin.

Thank you for recycling right.

If you don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and our public services facility (2200 Lark Avenue), subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is only $9/month thanks to a $5/month subsidy from the Town.
