Trash Collection Schedule for the Week of December 27, 2021

  • Blue Route Trash Collection- Wednesday, December 29

Important Notes
The Bulk/Brush Drop-off Yard will be closed Saturday, January 1.

If needed, there will be additional dumpsters for trash at Town Hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and Dowdy Park (3005 South Croatan Highway).


The Bainbridge public beach access will be closed from December 28, 2021 through early March 2022 for improvement work.

The Bainbridge public beach access just north of Nags Head Pier will be closed from December 29, 2021 through early March 2022 for improvements to the walkway. To preserve some of the handrails and decking for future use, we'll be dismantling the walkway first. Actual construction should begin the first week of January 2022.

As you prepare to host your NYE party this week, keep these tips in mind for a low waste event:  - Recycle your empty champagne bottles. - Toast with glasses rather than single-use plastic. - Glitter, tinsel, and streamers are not recyclable or biodegradable.  Have a safe and happy new year!

Don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall and our public works facility? Subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling. The cost is only $9/month thanks to a $5/month subsidy from the Town.
