A nonpartisan municipal election will be held November 7, 2023. Before the election, the League of Women Voters of Dare County will hold a candidate forum October 5 for voters to hear directly from the those running for Nags Head's Board of Commissioners.
The November 7, 2023 election will be held in Duck, Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, Manteo, Nags Head, and Southern Shores to elect officials. The polls will be open for voting on that day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Dare County municipal elections are non-partisan plurality elections. The candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected.

Candidates will respond to questions submitted by Nags Head residents. If you have a question for the candidates, please submit it to the League of Women Voters of Dare County. Be sure to include your name and town.
