Nags Head has been awarded a SolSmart Bronze designation for the Town's efforts to make it faster, easier and more affordable to go solar! The Town is proud to be recognized as a national leader in advancing solar energy.
Funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office, SolSmart recognizes cities and counties for cutting red tape and making solar more affordable and accessible for homes and businesses. SolSmart uses objective criteria to award communities points based on the actions they take to reduce barriers to solar energy development. This designation recognizes Nags Head for taking bold steps to encourage solar energy growth and remove obstacles to solar development.
