Project construction for the Old Nags Head Cove water main replacement project is currently concentrated along W. Old Cove Rd. near the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 158. A temporary road closure is scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, February 24, 2022. We ask residents to utilize W. Danube St. while this temporary condition is in place. The segment of W. Old Cove Rd. between W. Cobia Way and S. Croatan Hwy. will be open to residents who reside in the active construction zone area.
During active construction, we ask motorists and pedestrians alike to exercise caution when circulating within the active construction zone. Please slow down in the active construction zone area.
Weekly project updates will be provided to inform residents of construction progress in addition to potential changes in neighborhood traffic circulation and planned utility service interruptions.
