[ARCHIVED] Suspension of Water Disconnections for Nonpayment Expire July 29 Template

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s Executive Orders 124/142 are set to expire at 11:59 pm on July 29, 2020.  The Governor has indicated he will not extend the provisions related to residential utilities again.

For any residential delinquencies that occurred between March 31, 2020 and July 29, 2020, the Town of Nags Head Board of Commissioners authorized a 6-month repayment plan of 6 equal monthly installments for past due water account balances caused during the COVID-19 pandemic.  

•    Any residential water service balance that became delinquent between March 31, 2020 and July 29, 2020, must be paid in full by February 5, 2021.

•    Any residential water service balance that is not paid according to the payment plan terms of a 6-month repayment plan of 6 equal monthly installments, the whole amount under the payment plan becomes due, the payment plan becomes void, and the Town of Nags Head has the right to disconnect the residential water service and apply a late fee penalty.

•    All residential water service account balances that become delinquent after July 29, 2020,  must be paid within the noted due dates or the Town of Nags Head has the right to disconnect the service and apply a late fee penalty.

•    All payments received by the Town of Nags Head will be applied to the oldest outstanding balance first in accordance with existing policies

. To pay online visit https://selfservice.nagsheadnc.gov/MSS/citizens/UtilityBilling/ and have your account number available. Please email water@nagsheadnc.gov to sign up for e-billing or to arrange automatic drafts.

Water bills can be paid via the drop box near the flag pole in front of Town Hall.
