[ARCHIVED] Curbside Bulk Item/Brush Collection Service Extended Until May 24

Bulk Item Pick Up March 2012

The Town of Nags Head collects bulk items and brush from rights of way in front of homes from October 1 through March 31 each year. Due to the pandemic, this year the curbside collection service  has been extended through May 24, 2020 to ensure that all of our property owners can take advantage of this service.

While the Town conducts regular sweeps to remove the items that have been placed in the right of way, we ask that you call our Public Works department at 252-441-1122 to be placed on a list to track our progress and when you placed your items out to be collected.

Items collected as part of this service include brush/limbs and large/bulky items such as stoves, refrigerators, water heaters, and sofas, etc. that cannot normally be loaded into the back of a standard garbage truck. Items must be placed in the right of way, but off the pavement, and in front of your property prior to collection. Bulk, brush and metal must be placed in separate piles. We do NOT collect items from unimproved lots.

If you wish to instead bring your items to our bulk item/brush collection yard, please call 252-441-1122 for more information.
