Our Thursday, August 8 market has been cancelled due to weather expected from Tropical Storm Debby. However, we'll hold a "make-up" market on Thursday, August 22 from 4 to 7 pm. Note the time change from morning to afternoon.

Due to Tropical Storm Debby, we're making some changes to the events at Dowdy Park this week.
- Tuesday, August 6, Storyteller, Liza Newell - this event has been moved to the bathhouse at our Epstein public beach access at 5701 South Virginia Dare Trail, just south of our town hall. There is a community room on the second floor of the bathhouse. Walk around to the oceanside of the building and you will see steps to the second floor. Liza’s stories are a celebration of her small-town childhood in the Valley of Virginia, of timeless mythologies and fairy tales, and of the ways storytelling creates new pathways for our lived experiences to intersect. This event is appropriate for all ages.
- The Wednesday night concert, the BarCats Duo, has been cancelled.
- Late Wednesday afternoon we'll make a decision on whether or not our farmer's market will take place on Thursday, August 8.
- We are hopeful that our Fitness Friday event will take place on Friday, August 9.
