The Town of Nags Head's cart rollout service, for properties with driveways on South Virginia Dare Trail and South Old Oregon Inlet Road, begins again May 1.
From May 1 through October 31 each year these properties can participate in a sanitation cart rollout service.
During this time, a Town of Nags Head contractor, Trash Detail, will move a property’s sanitation carts from the home to the streetside the afternoon before collection and return them to the home after collection. Since the collection is twice per week, the contractor will be visiting each property four times a week for the six-month service period.
Note that outside of the May 1 to October 31 timeframe, carts will not be managed by the Town's contractor; therefore, cart management will again be the responsibility of the homeowner, renter, or rental management company. During this time, our staff will move carts back from the right-of-way; however, they do not return them to the home.
