The Town of Nags Head FY 22-23 Street Resurfacing Project is progressing at a rapid pace. In the several weeks since it began the following streets resurfacing has been completed:
S. Memorial Ave. between Bittern St. and the cul-de-sac south of Bladen St., E. Bladen St. from S. Wrightsville Ave. to the E. Bladen St. beach access, E. Barnes St. Beach Access, E. Bainbridge St., E. Admiral St., E. Soundside Rd., S. Pompano Ct., W. Fin Lane, Albacore Dr., S. Pamlico Way, Dolphin Ct., Amberjack Ct., W. Tarpon Ct., S. Sandpiper Ct. and Blue Marlin Way.
The remaining streets in Old Nags Head Cove are anticipated to be completed the week of May 8th, weather permitting.
Other utility work is in progress. Work is underway along S. Memorial Ave. between E. Baltic St. and E. Barnes St. and will be followed by storm pipe replacement in the proximity of E. Barnes St. and S. Memorial Ave. intersection. Once the utility work is completed, this pavement resurfacing will occur along the length of E. Barnes St. between S. Croatan Hwy. and S. Virginia Dare Trail.
Nags Head Acres subdivision will have round out the balance of the project with the replacement and installation of cross street culvert pipes followed by paving. The culvert installations will occur in advance of the roadway resurfacing. The paving work is anticipated to begin towards the end of May.
