The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will begin repairs on the ocean outfall pipe located at Milepost 12.5 beginning Monday, February 14, 2022. Recent storms have damaged portions of the outfall structure at this location requiring necessary repair work to maintain system operation. It is anticipated repair work will take several days to complete.
NCDOT equipment and materials will be temporarily staged at the Conch St. Beach access while this work is ongoing. We ask beachgoers to exercise caution in the active construction zone and around the temporary staging areas.
