Update, Wednesday, October 8, 2025
The winds are forecast to pick up tonight and tomorrow due to a cold front. If you plan to drive on the beach tomorrow, Friday, October 9, high tide will take place about 9:30 a.m. Please be extra careful driving on the beach and be sure to stay off the dunes.
Over the weekend, after passage of the cold front, a low pressure system is forecast to form, bringing rain, wind, and high surf. We may have to close the beach to driving. If we do, we'll post the information on this page.
A reminder: if you haven't done so already, you can subscribe to receive an email or text when we have news (such as closures and openings) about beach driving.
