The Town of Nags Head is finalizing plans to renovate Whalebone Park, and will be applying to the Accessibilty For Parks (AFP) grant program, with a focus on young children and universal accessibilty. The Park is located in the dynamic Whalebone Junction part of town, close to Jennette's Pier, restaurants, hotels and the beach.
The public meeting will take place on Tuesday October 25th, 2022 at the Town of Nags Head Board of Commissioners Room. The public are invited to drop in any time between 5 to 7 p.m. to learn about the Accessibility for Parks grant program, check a draft concept plan and talk to staff.
There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 pm. Attendees are invited to walk around and view boards that highlight ideas for renovating and invigorating Whalebone Park. Please bring your kids as there will be a kids station with paper and crayons so we can include the youngest members of our community.
