Old Nags Head Cove Water Main Replacement Project
The map above represents the current progress of the Old Nags Head Cove Water Main Replacement Project. The recently installed water main is represented by the blue linework with the orange color representing the sections of water main recently installed but not yet operational and the green dashed line representing the upcoming work schedule.
Tentative Construction Schedule
Week of May 23rd- Complete the installation of 2" water main along S. Pompano Ct. Complete connection of the watermain between S. Links Drive and the golf course and at the end of S. Roanoke Way. Commence with culvert pipe installation at the intersection of S. Cobia Way/W. Old Cove Rd. Complete water service connections for the portions of the installed water main. Once all service connections are completed, the newly installed water main along S. Cobia Way, W Sandpiper Terrace, and a portion of S. Roanoke Way will be pressure tested, chlorinated, flushed, and placed into operation.
Week of May 30th- Pressure test, chlorinate, and place the new water main along Pompano Ct. and Fin Lane into service. Transition to S. Blue Marlin Way to connect the previously bored sections of water main with open cut sections of water main.

Sidewalk extensions in the Nags Head Acres and Old Nags Head Cove Subdivisions
The map above represents proposed sidewalk extensions in the Nags Head Acres and the Old Nags Head Cove Subdivisions. The Nags Head Acres scope of work has been substantially completed. Concrete crews are currently working in the Old Nags Head Cove Subdivision. Concrete pathway work has been installed along W. Old Cove Rd. and has transitioned to S. Cobia Way. Work is currently ongoing in the proximity of the Fin Lane/S. Cobia Way intersection. The alignment spans from north to south along the west side of S. Cobia Way through to W. Sandpiper Terrace and ends at S. Pamlico Way. The Board of Commissioners recently approved an additional sidewalk segment which will extend from the intersection of S. Cobia Way/W. Old Cove Rd. through to W. Danube St. This work will commence at the completion of the S. Cobia Way/W. Sanpiper Terrace sidewalk work noted aboev.
