Bulletin 11 from Dare County Emergency Management

The Dare County Control Group met Saturday evening for an update on recovery efforts including restoration of power and road conditions. The following reentry guidelines have been established, effective immediately:    

For areas north of Oregon Inlet, Priority Three reentry becomes effective immediately. Priority Three includes non-resident property owners and employees of non-critical businesses. Non-resident property owners must have a valid reentry permit and matching current government-issued ID OR a current tax bill or parcel data sheet with matching current government-issued ID. Non-resident employees of non-critical businesses must have a valid reentry permit with matching current government-issued ID.

Brush Collection

We will begin collecting hurricane-related tree limbs and brush in the next 5 days or so. Please be sure to place this type of debris in a pile by the roadside and in front of your home, but it must be separate from any other household debris. Call Nags Head Public Works for more information at 252-441-1122.
