Wow, what a season of events we had at Dowdy Park! Thank you to all who attended, participated, volunteered, or helped in any way. We'll be kicking up the events for next summer, but before then, keep an eye out for news about movies at the park in October and our holiday markets in November and December.

For the most current information on events at the park, follow Dowdy Park on Facebook.

Mark your calendars and celebrate National Night Out with our Police Department on October 4, 2022 at Dowdy Park! This is our opportunity each year to promote police-community partnerships and engage with the public. We hope to see you all there!

Does recycling cans save energy?

Yes! When you recycle an aluminum can, you conserve enough energy to power a 60 watt light bulb for more than 4 hours.

That brings a lot of light to the situation, don't you think?

If you don't have time to haul your recyclables to the recycling centers we have at town hall (5401 South Croatan Highway) and our public services facility (2200 Lark Avenue), subscribe to the curbside recycling collection service offered by TFC Recycling.
