A reminder: Town offices remain open; however, we continue to strongly encouraging the public to conduct their business with the Town either via the phone or online. The administrative offices for the fire and police departments are closed to the public.

Water and tax bills can be paid via the drop box near the flag pole in front of Town Hall.

Trade permits can now be applied for and issued online. Additionally, in some cases we are able to make arrangements over the phone or by email to coordinate the submittal of building permit applications and materials, issue permits and take payments.

Dare County, in consultation with the Dare County Control Group, is finalizing a plan to address the lifting of restrictions on entry to Dare County while protecting the safety of our community. The first phase will allow entry of non-resident property owners. The plan will be released by the end of the day (Tuesday, April 21). State Cases of COVID-19
In North Carolina, there are currently 6,951 cases of COVID-19 in 93 counties. There have been 213 fatalities in NC associated with COVID-19. Currently, the state is reporting 427 hospitalizations across the state from COVID-19 illness. 

County’s Positive Test Results Remains at 15 
The number of positive COVID-19 test results remains at 15. Fourteen have recovered/or are asymptomatically cleared (meaning they are seven days post testing with no symptoms) and one died.
