[ARCHIVED] Town Releases RFQ for Development of Estuarine Shoreline Management Plan

Facebook Post- Photo RFQ

The Town of Nags Head has released a Request for Qualifications seeking a consultant to develop a Town-wide Estuarine Shoreline Management Plan.  The principal purpose of the plan is to develop strategies that will prioritize living shoreline management approaches for each segment of the Town's shoreline.  The Plan will utilize scientific analysis and data gathering as key components of this process. The Plan will further set overall policy recommendations appropriate for adjacent land uses, examine legal issues, and explore how sea level rise will impact the long-term management of the estuarine shoreline. Once complete, this plan will provide the Town with an action list of projects that can easily be incorporated in the annual budget and five (5) year Capital Improvement Funding Plan (CIP).

All submissions must be presented in accordance with the requirements, format, and guidelines described in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) document.  Interested entities must submit an electronic copy no later than 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2021. Proposals shall be sent to the attention of Holly White, Principal Planner (holly.white@nagsheadnc.gov) and Kate Jones, Engineering Tech (kate.jones@nagsheadnc.gov).  Town staff will notify respondents via email that their electronic submission has been received for consideration.  The RFQ may be accessed on the Town’s Bid Postings website at the following link: https://www.nagsheadnc.gov/bids.aspx.

**Note - Any questions raised by potential respondents must be submitted in writing to holly.white@nagsheadnc.gov and kate.jones@nagsheadnc.gov  by June 15, 2021.
