Sandfencing and Sprigging Update

SDune10.19

This week, construction efforts have shifted to sandfence installation as most planting efforts are complete. Area and sequence of work will be installing one row of sandfence at the toe of dune from Juncos Street Northwards to Outer Banks Pier.  The Juncos Street access will be used as staging by the contractor, but will remain open for accessing the beach. Parking will be limited at Juncos Street, so please make appropriate plans to carpool, and/or use nearby beach accesses for parking.  Once complete, the contractor will shift operations up to Gulfstream Street and will install one row of sandfence at the toe of dune Southwards towards Outer Banks Pier. Looking into the next two weeks, the sandfence will continue to be installed North to Bonnett Street. Look for more detailed updates here soon!
