Shoreline Management

The Town of Nags Head's Shoreline Management Program protects existing development and infrastructure from storm surges, sea level rise, and shoreline migration through:

• Beach Nourishment  
• Dune Management 

In addition, the Town's Ocean Sand Relocation Program allows ocean-side property owners to relocate accumulated sand back onto the dunes and the ocean beach.
